12. Monday, August 18-Out of Yellowstone, heading where?

We bought breakfast in the deli at Old Faithful Inn in Yellowstone and hit the road at 8:00, heading who knows where. Generally toward Idaho, Oregon, and Washington.

Stopped at a small falls and river and saw an Osprey snatch a fish out of the river. Really cool to see the action.

We had purchased breakfast at the deli in Old Faithful Inn and stopped at a roadside picnic area in the Teton mountain range. The peaks are spectacular.

Words do no justice.

What a spot for breakfast!

We took a short stroll through the near woods and came accross this little lady having her breakfast.

One of three about 20 feet from our breakfast location.

The drive through southern Idaho on small roads showed a whole lot of nothing....There is mile after mile of open land, scrubby brush and the occasional unhappy cow. We drove the northern rim of the Crater of the Moon National Monument, lava flows from millenia ago.

We ended up the day in Hailey, Idaho in another AmericInn, about 10 miles south of Sun Valley ski resort. Tomorrow we plan on zipping up to the resort to check it out and then head for Oregon.  Again, destination unknown.
